This stunning property is back on the market after our buyer failed to secure a mortgage, so as you can imagine the owners are looking for a quick sale after 6 months of time wasting, the buyer seems to have been unable to purchase the property all along so this stunning house is back on the market.

So talk to us about this beautiful property which we have had to reduce from 300,000 to only 250,000 euros FAI.

Having a property that has all the benefits of being in the countryside, but at the same time just outside of a town sounds like a bit of a tall order, but here is a lovely example of one. Set at the end of a lane with no neighbours, but within walking distance of a large busy village, you will find this glorious south facing Typically French Longere dating back to the 16th century, which has been fully renovated retaining all of its original character, including exposed beams and original character fireplaces.

The accommodation comprises of a large lounge with original fireplace, a country kitchen, dining room with vaulted ceiling and glass doors onto the living room which also has a large character fireplace.

Then upstairs to one end there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom, and to the other end, accessed by the corridor which is open onto the dinning area, are a further two bedrooms.

To the other side of the courtyard is a walled garden which hides the swimming pool from the house.

The whole property is set in over 2 acres of land with a mix of gardens and woodland, a stone barn, a ruined barn with a lovely arched door, as well as a small hay barn which is presently used as a parking area.

The nearest neighbours are just up the lane but this house is situated at the very end of the lane so very rpivate, 2 fields separate us from the nearest neighbours). The neighbours are an organic farm - so it's a very quiet location.

Bubry is the local village, it's a 10 minute walk and a 3 minute drive.

THINGS TO DO: There is a good equestrian centre close by, you can ride by the hour as well as taking lessons to brush up your saddle skills. The kayaking centre is just down the road and high quality fly fishing can also be found on the river Blavet close by. An excellent 18 hole rural golf course is a 15 minute drive from Bretinio Cycling is a major pastime in the area and the Tour de France has been through through the village and through the area many times - so watch of for Sir Bradley Wiggins hanging out in the neighbourhood.

Bubry is a thriving village full of shops and a large Intermarche supermarket and is also home to many types of markets and festivals uniting the community throughout the year. The largest closest town is Pontivy home to one of the regions most famous Chateaux which was Napoleon's home. Pontivy is steeped in history as is the entire region - with endless historical landmarks and edifices to explore and enjoy.

The house is twenty two miles from the coast and the Gulf of Morbihan is famous for sailing and wonderful seafood. Auray is a beautiful medieval fishing village and Carnac has some of the best beaches in Brittany.

There are a number of Michelin starred restaurants across Morbihan and the closest is Bignan.

Local Taxes: Tax Fonciere is 1013 euros a year. Tax Habitation is approx. 1186 euros a year.

The department of Morbihan in the south-eastern part of Brittany has a coastal area offering a micro-climate, the Morbihan Gulf on the south coast; where you will find the ancient town of Vannes. Morbihan is bordered by Cotes-d'Armor to the north, Ille -et-Vilaine to the east, Pays de la Loire to the southeast and Finistere to the west.

Morbihan's main activities are agriculture, fishing and tourism. Oysters are cultivated in the Gulf of Morbihan. Tourism is popular along the Morbihan coastline and in the medieval towns and villages dotted around the countryside. Carnac is the French version of Stonehenge with stones laid in concentric circles by an ancient people.

These Megaliths and Dolmens and Menhirs are believed to have been placed there between 3500 and 1800 B.C and you see their symbols everywhere. Attractive Property in the area is easy to find with lovely Farmhouses, Water mills and sleepy Cottages in abundance.
