Full Description

Here we have a delightful stone built Breton Cottage in need of some decoration and a little TLC with OUTBUILDINGS and a GARAGE, all set in a lovely quiet rural HAMLET LOCATION in the Countryside with only one other neighbour.

The first 5 photos are from when the owner lived full time at the property, the rest are more recent but we thought to show you the first 5 so you know how easy it would be to refresh this property.

Not overlooked and with 3,600m2 of Grounds.

This cottage has been neglected recently, but could once again provide a quiet holiday retreat or main residence with some Updating and loving care.

Entrance via a small driveway, through the hamlet into a court yard area, which was once laid to gravel, from here the main cottage, with its kitchen extension.

A lovely lounge area with wooden floor on a concrete base, with open beams and a large stone fireplace. Into the extension attached and forming a kitchen. The floor of the kitchen has been subject to damp and therefore the floor has been removed and is awaiting a concrete base and new flooring.

Up a wooden stairway to 2 bedrooms and a small bathroom with bath, WC and hand was basin.

The electrics would need some major updating and the fosse does not conform to current regulations.

The outbuildings have sadly also been neglected over recent years and the largest stone barn needs a new roof. There is a chicken run in the grounds and a small garage/workshop.

This property really needs to be seen to admire both its quiet location and its huge potential.

Please note: The first 5 images are from its previous 'loved and cared for' state, the rest are 'as is' now as it has been empty for a little while, just really needs a tickle with some elbow grease and love.

The department of Finistere has a feeling of being carved out of the earth by the sea and is the wildest area of Brittany, it is also the most western of all French departments. The name Finistere comes from the Latin phrase 'finis terrae', meaning 'land's end'.

It has the English Channel to the north, Cotes-d'Armor and Morbihan to the east, the Bay of Biscay to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

Quimper, the department's capital, is located to the south and has a distinctive Breton character just like all the main towns such as Brest, Chateaulin, Morlaix and Quimper. Over a third of the area is covered with forest, moors and scrubland.

Along the coast, farmers divide their time between commercial fishing and working their small farms. To see the Fish-markets, Douarnenez is worth a visit as is Brest which is on the west coast and is also a major naval port.
